In any industrial sector, systems for the storage, supply and transport of solid materials need minor components in the form of valves, slide gates, expansion joints and baffle plates in addition to the principal machinery. Gambarotta Gschwendt designs and builds a considerable quantity and variety of these minor components, adapting them to the various specific requirements of the customer.

Our manufacturing programme can produce a range of components of this type, often made to meet the specific needs of the customer. The principal types may be grouped as follows:

RC - Rotary valves: Valves with a rotating chamber used to transfer a flow of fine solid material across two areas with different pressure and/or temperatures. These valves can perform extraction / feeding functions.

SPS - pendular valves: Single flap valve with slanted opening, used to transfer a flow of solid material, in powder or lumps, across two areas with different pressure and/or temperatures.

SPD - pendular valves: Double flap valve with “V” shaped opening opening, used to transfer a flow of solid material in powder or lumps across two areas with different pressure and/or temperatures.

SG - slide gates: Guillotine valve used to cut off a flow of generally fine grade solid material under a discharge point.

SB - slide gates: Slide gate used to cut off a flow of solid material in lumps under a discharge point or hopper through a series of short bars (or needles).

SE and SRE helmet rotary gates: Valve gate used to cut off a flow of solid material, fine grade or in lumps, under a discharge point through a partially rotating curved flap.

GD - expansion joints: Elements that permit a sealed join between two transfer points for solid material that can move with respect to one another (e.g. differential thermal expansion).

DV - deviators: Elements used to deviate the flow of solid material from a feed point to two or more different discharge points.
